I am VEGAN

Somehow on my blog I feel I have neglected to highlight pretty much the most important aspect of my life...Veganism! December 25, 2008 was my first meat free Christmas (but I went veg somewhere between Thanksgiving and then) so I think it's been 2 yrs and a month OFFICIALLY. But every vegan knows its so beyond just food.

I must admit, while I am an activist and a very proud vegan I don't see the need to bombard my every social network with vegan PREACHING. My family and most of my friends are not vegan, but they are aware that I AM and I make NO apologies for it. It gets so old when people overwork the topic of veganism.....like dough...no one will want it.
I like to approach it like this: I like cooking, makeup, fashion, baking and they happen to be Vegan

SO just in case you didn't know...this is the blog of a VEGAN :)

Happy New Year!!

2011 is here, and I'm really excited. This year will be great because...there are no other options lol.
I plan on blogging more after contemplating getting a tumblr. I decided to give it a real effort and to make it easier for myself I followed a ton of really cool bloggers that share my interests. (DUH!) I go on twitter and facebook CONSTANTLY because there are a ton of people I have things in common with (no brainer).
Sooo I hope they follow me back and we have an amazing year of blogging together!!!!

Honeysuckle

Pantone 18-2120

Out of pure fun I always like looking at Pantone's color of the year. I liked the mimosa for 2009 but HATED turquoise of 2010. For 2011 the color is 18-2120 (Honeysuckle) and I LIKE it. Here's the article from Pantone's website 2011 Color of the year

My Review

A Staple!!

By Isadore from New York, New York on 10/2/2010

4out of 5

Pros: Quick Results, Easy To Apply, Travel, Good Value

Best Uses: Normal Skin, Oily Skin, Dry Skin, Daily Use

Describe Yourself: Natural Style

Skin Tone: Deep

Age: 16-24

When you can feel when those annoying pimples coming on, use this. I used it right before bed and woke up to a less sore, less visible pimple. I applied it underneath my makeup and within a day the pimple was gone. I like the roll-on applicator, and the tingly feeling when I apply the product. I have dry skin and my mom has combination skin and it worked for the BOTH of us. The price it great and the formula rivals clean and clear and proactiv. I would definitely buy this again.

Ramblings of an ordinary girl :)

If I could take it all back I would, but I can't. They say it's no good to live life with regret...All I wish is that everyone would forget, the mistakes I've made but of course that one in particular...You. I've learned my lessons but I'm sure to go way far ...but after all, I'd rather be me than perfect...on some days. :)

I'd rather be wrong than perfect
I'd rather be real than perfect
I'd rather just cry be sure that I'm ALIVE yea
I'd rather be me than PERFECT

9/11 9 years Later

As this day winds to a close, I felt it necessary to say something in regard to one of the most painful days in U.S. history.
I am a New Yorker and I remember this day 9 years ago, being one of panic and fear and even anger. It was the first time in my life I felt TRULY unsafe... that not even parents can protect me. I remember how cloudy and dusty it looked..even in Brooklyn.

While many New Yorkers and Americans can recall what they felt and remember about the day NOTHING can compare to those families who were directly traumatized by the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. They relive the pain of losing loved ones every anniversary, whether they were on the planes, in the buildings working, or courageous rescue workers. My heart goes out to those families.
Days like this make you reevaluate yourself, life and the people that surround you. R.I.P. to all the innocent people whose lives where robbed on that day and as a result of those tragedies.
